The KAUS Management Committee welcomed the opportunity to meet with our local MP, Priti Patel, in Kelvedon recently. We appreciate her taking the time to listen to residents' concerns regarding Braintree District Council's proposals for the 5,600-home Kings Dene development.
Whilst we encourage residents to sign Ms Patel's petition, the most important and effective way to have your voice heard is by submitting a formal objection directly to the Council as part of the current Regulation 18 public consultation, which ends at 5pm on Friday 17th April. This ensures your views are properly recorded and taken into account in the decision-making process.
Some KAUS supporters have also raised concerns that support for the Kings Dene development is being driven by the Conservative majority group of councillors at the Council. In light of this, we hope Ms Patel will lobby her colleagues in line with her stated views.
