Kelvedon Against Urban Sprawl (KAUS) – Privacy Notice (Compliant with UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018)

 

Last updated: 27 November 2025 Kelvedon Against Urban Sprawl (“KAUS”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you sign up to receive updates, take part in our campaign activities, or contact us.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

KAUS is a community-led, non-political campaign group run by volunteers in Kelvedon and Feering.

Purpose: To organise and communicate about the Stop Kings Dene campaign.

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect the minimum data needed to keep you informed and involved. This includes:

  • Name (if you choose to provide it)

  • Any message you send us via email or the form

We do not collect sensitive personal data.

Your data is kept securely using password-protected systems (e.g. Google Workspace / volunteer systems used by KAUS).

Only authorised KAUS volunteers can access your information.

We keep your data only for as long as the campaign is active or until you request deletion.

​

Only KAUS volunteers involved in communications or campaign coordination have access.

We do not share your data with:

  • Commercial organisations

  • Political parties

  • Developers or councils
